Cosmo Cricket & Design on a Dime (uh...not really)

Here's the scoop ladies:  We just got in the three new Cosmo CricketLacing Kits.  The kits came in Dream, Family and Friends and contain everything you need to make these darling projects.  The kits are obviously sold separately but hey, doesn't mean you have to only pick one!  We heard the paper (Mr. Campy and Welcome to Jack's World) was shipping now to, but I just saw an email that due to technical difficulties it may be next week.   We were at the store today building a new "tool" section for our crop room. We have our die-cuts to be used more efficiently, we loaded the back with tons of stamps, paint, decorative scissors, punches, idea books, the Create-a-Cut, a big Xyron sticker maker, and a whole lot of other fun things for you to play with when you come crop!   My mom was there sewing her little heart out because I had this grandi-osoidea for one of our walls......yes fabric was involved!!  The whole crop room is being transformed and I must say, it is turning out just darling.  The inspiration came from an apron I bought at a Scrapbook Royalty charity auction (thanks Ally!).  I could not have been there all day without the help of my good friend Cierra- thanks for taking Aspen sister, YOU ROCK!!

Sneak Peak

Whew!  What a day.  We drove up to Fullerton today for a special Vendor Fair and ordered SO many new products from the best Vendors in the industry.  I am starting to wonder where the heck we are going to put it all!!  We had such a fun and smooth day.  We didn't hit traffic at all, we arrived and were greeted with a gi-normous goodie bag, which of course we will pass along to YOU (better get on our Bus Tour, or come for Shop Hop ladies)....new stamps from Making Memories, lots of fun new embellishments by almost all the vendors in attendance, plus a few more (thanks to our awesome reps!), totes, papers, ribbons....jeez...I can't even think of it all right now.  Wanna know who was there....ok, I'll reveal a few; cosmo cricket, little yellow bicycle, scenic route, ki memories, my minds eye, creative imaginations, 7 gypsies, doodle bug, chatterbox, we r memory keepers, american crafts, fiskars, heidi grace, bo bunny, moxxie, kaiser, karen foster, basic gray...hmmmm, I don't want to tell ALL.  I will save more for later.  Tomorrow when I am not so tired I will give you guys some sneak peeks of the product we ordered ( I took a few pic's just for you).  We met up with Donna Salazar from Prima, who will be teaching here in August.  Wow, what a gal.  So talented, so real.  Her product was TO DIE FOR! After meeting her today, and seeing her creations in person, I am so thrilled to have her come teach.  Her class is going to be a major hit.   Prima knocked it out of the park again.  Good night for now, gotta go soak those feet.  Take care, and dream of new product!!  I know I will.

Erin Payne....woot woot.  Halloween is her favorite time of year, so we thought it only fitting to take our Tour on October 18th and celebrate the spooky side of Scrapbooking!  We will start our morning bright and early (according to my hubby) at 9am with a light breakfast, and get on our way to visit two great scrapbook stores; Scrap-n-Yap in Monrovia and The Scrapbook Garden in Huntington Beach.  Your bellies will be filled with yummy food, your pockets will be filled with great prizes, and your minds will be filled with fun and fresh techniques as you create 3 different and very unique make-n-takes.  If you have been on a Bus Tour with Pink Pineapple then you know the goodies and fun don't stop there.   You will be buffed out Pink Pineapple style.  This Tour will be better than the one in March.....so get on the horn (I had to throw in an Erin-ism while she is vacationing in Canada) and call the store today!!  We are already 75% full!   760-598-2222

Donna Salazar; Prima Paintables Baby!

We are sooooo excited to announce that DONNA SALAZAR will be coming to Pink Pineapple to teach on August 16th at 1:00pm.  Donna is the talented and fabulous Prima designer (OK THE number one "Prima Donna!").   She will be teaching a mini-book using the Prima Paintables, ribbons, crystals, brads & other Prima goodies, oh yes.... and we will be making a card as an added bonus!  We are so thrilled to have her FINALLY come teach here at Pink Pineapple!  Donna is aDesign Team member for Avery Personal Creations and the Design Team Leader for The Red Bee in Tustin.  She was a cast member & Designer for Scrapbooks Etc. Magazine's daily inter-net show, Scrapbook Lifestyle, seasons one through three.  She is a Design Team member for C&T Publishing and she was a Design Team member for the on-line scrapbook store Freckle Friends. Her class will fill extremely fast because she is only charging $32!  Wow!!   

Classes This Weekend- Acrylic Album & Cards

Acrylic Beach Party Album:

Have you ever wondered how to use the Prima Acrylic Build-A-Album's?  Join Kim L. to make this darling 6x6 Acrylic Tab Beach Themed Album. The book is filled with Creative Imagination’s new Beach Line of papers and embellishments. Bring all your photos from the beach or pool and this album will be the perfect display for your summer memories.

This class is tomorrow, Saturday July 26th at 10am.  There are only 4 spots left, so call the store tonight by midnight to sign up, or tomorrow morning by 9:30am.

All Occasions Card Class: 

Handmade cards are ALWAYS the best to give.  Come take another great card class designed by Ally S.   She has created some fun all occasion cards using various papers by Making Memories. In this class you will make 2 baby cards, 2 thank you cards, a miss you card and a just dropping you a note card. Come learn how to use the fabulous sugar coat glitter and flocking powder by Doodlebug, Fiskars punches and Stickles glitter glue.

This class meets this Sunday 7/27. 12-2pm.   Cost is only $23.

New American Crafts & Sonburn

American Crafters Thickers came in yesterday, and boy did we get a boat load!  There are NEW COLORS in the Glitter Thicker collection, we got in all the FOAM, CHIPBOARD, FELT AND VINYL letters too, the new LETTER FONTS are awesome!  The new colors are fabulous and match the new papers and embellishments perfectly!!  We got in the brand new Thickers Accents too, in Travel and Swirls, and so many more!!  All the matching dimentional details 3-D embellishments are a perfect way to finish off a page with just the right touch.  The new embellishmnets have cute little birds in felt & some are foam.  We ordered SEVEN new paper lines complete with matching embellishments.  I think we only got a couple in so far, the rest is shipping soon!! 

The new Sonburn Pet and Beach lines are bright and beautiful! We got in three new collections from Sonburn; Cool Sunnings, Reining Cats & Dogs and Frolic.  The rubons are like butter ladies!!     

Join the "Crop Stop" this Saturday!

      Well I hope you are sitting down because we have hit the mother load again!  We got in a huge order from October Afternoon.  We have 3 different lines from them , all of them are so cute!  We also got a lot of stamps, rub-ons, charms, and the cutests journaling cards!

 This has been a favorite of ours and has flown off the shelf in one night!

 

 Don’t forget that we will be open late for Michelle Hill’s free workshop tonight, and also tomorrow night for Erin’s Home Sweet Home Maya Road Chipboard house class.  {See photos below}   There are still spots for Michelle’s workshop, and The Home Sweet Home class,

4th of July Acrylic Book: Tuesday 7/15. 6-10pm. $58. Kristie S. Gather your pictures and create this fun, sparkly acrylic book using tons of technique. The little details give it that extra wow! The quality of this album is amazing, and the details are just so beautiful. This is not your traditional mini-sized album. The pages are perfect for holding larger photos. Please bring a basic supply kit.
 
Michelle Hill Free Workshop: Wednesday 7/16. 6pm Michelle Hill. Come and work on any unfinished Michelle Hill class or monthly kits in this free workshop. This proved to be a HUGE success. Don't miss your chance to get a spot in her FREE workshop. Michelle always hosts a fun night. Please call the store and reserve a space. Home Sweet Home Maya Road House Album: Thursday 7/17. 6pm. $$35.00 Erin P. teaches you how to create this adorable little house album. Take the roof off and inside you will find the cutest little accordion album, or a little wall hanging. We will cover this cutie in lots of colorful papers, embellish chipboard with paints and Doodlebug glitter, stamp our hearts out on little scalloped circles and add a whole lot of frosting a.k.a. bling. If you love to embellish, you will love this project. Please bring a basic supply kit and mini glue dots, thick glue dots, foam pop dots, foam brush, wet adhesive and 12 wallet size photos. well, that is it for now ladies, we did get a boatload of new prima yummies!  stop by for a looky loo!  until then, STAY PINK!  Ps: Did you read our news down below?  We are super excited!

San Diego Scrapbook Expo Baby!

We finally decided to take the plunge and get a booth at the SD Expo this year!  Woot Woot!  We have coupons in the store for $2 off admission!! 

The Expo is on  August 29 & 30, 2008 this year.  It will be held at the same place, San Diego Convention Center 111 W. Harbor Drive San Diego, CA  92101.   Friday the Expo will be open from 10am to 6pm and on Saturday it will be open from 9am to 5pm.  We will be hosting a KILLER MAKE-N-TAKE, you have to come and see us to find out what it is. Bring scissors, adhesive and extra blank scrapbook pages for the numerous make & takes on the exhibit floor.

Various manufacturers will also be demonstrating new products and services.  EXHIBITORS You might be interested in seeing in San Diego this year are - Melissa Francis, Piggy Tales, Pinecone Press, Rusty Pickle, Quick Quotes, SEI, W R Memory Keepers, Zutter, and more.....but most importantly PINK PINEAPPLE SCRAPBOOKS BABY!!
